Whether you are passionate about tackling mental health stigma; fed up with people vaping; love sport and want to get more people active; have your own experience of a health condition or disability and want to help others like you, or just have a great idea to help improve health and wellbeing – we want to hear from you!

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are offering five young people support and funding to make a positive difference to their community.

Who can apply?
If you are aged 13-21 and live, work or study in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, New Forest or Isle of Wight you can apply. You can apply individually, with a friend or as part of a group you are part of (for example your School Council, Youth Group, or Student Union)

What will I get?
If your application is successful you will receive the following support and funding to help you make your idea a reality:

  • Time

This is about 1hr a week for 3 months. You will also need to attend a 30 minute check-in with your mentor at Unloc (in person or online) once a month.
  • Good communication
It’s important you communicate with your mentor, attend monthly check-ins, and keep them updated with how you are getting on with your project. If you are struggling with your project they will be able to offer help and advise.
