The Unloc Youth Board
At Unloc, young people aren’t just at the heart of what we do, they help shape it. Our Youth Board is a dynamic group of changemakers, aged 16–25, who play an active role in guiding Unloc’s direction, championing youth voice, and ensuring our programmes truly reflect the experiences, ambitions and needs of the young people we serve.
Why a Youth Board Matters
We believe that nothing about young people should be decided without young people. That’s why our Youth Board exists, to bring authentic youth perspective into our strategy, delivery and decision-making. Their insights challenge us to think differently, stay relevant, and constantly innovate.
From advising on programme design to helping us craft impactful campaigns, they make sure every part of Unloc lives up to its mission of empowering young people to be changemakers in their communities and beyond.
What the Youth Board Does
Our Youth Board members work alongside Unloc’s leadership and delivery teams to:
- Share honest feedback on our programmes and projects
- Co-create new ideas and initiatives that inspire action
- Represent young people’s voices in key organisational decisions
- Support events, campaigns and partnerships as Unloc ambassadors
- Help us stay accountable to the young people we exist to serve
Shaping Unloc’s Future
The Youth Board isn’t symbolic, it’s central. Their ideas influence how we evolve as an organisation, ensuring our work continues to build confidence, leadership, and opportunity for young people everywhere. Together, we’re creating a stronger, more inclusive and more youth-powered Unloc.
